May 2024 will forever be etched in the memories of the Cherubim Chamber Chorale as the month we made history. After 2 months of tireless rehearsals, unwavering dedication, and unrelenting passion, our chorale emerged victorious at the prestigious National Martyrs Choir singing Competition that was organised by Vision Group Uganda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The journey to the top was not an easy one. Our team of talented Choristers, led by the fearless music director Mr. Jude Luwaga, worked diligently to perfect every detail, from the intricate harmonies to the nuanced expressions. We poured our hearts and souls into every rehearsal, driven by our shared vision of excellence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The competitions were held on 31st<\/sup> May 2024at Serena Hotel Kampala, and The Cherubim Chamber chorale took to stage 3 songs with confidence and poise. The three songs performed included How Excellent which was the set piece, Eyandokola Agulumizibwe which was our free choice, and Beebo abaayoza engoye which was the folk song. With each performance, we seemed to grow stronger, our voices blending in perfect harmony as we sang with every fibre of our being.<\/p>\n\n\n\n When the judges’ decision was announced, we were overwhelmed with emotion because we had won the National Martyrs Choir singing Competition 2024! Under the category of the Catholic choirs. This triumph was a testament to the power of teamwork, perseverance, and passion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n We are honoured to have represented the Catholic community on the national stage well, and we look forward to continuing to inspire and uplift through our music.<\/p>\n\n\n\n We would like to extend our deepest gratitude to our director Mr. Jude Luwaga, accompanists, and supporters, without whom this victory would not have been possible. Thank you for believing in us and for being part of our journey. We also thank The Vision group for organising this incredible event that brought together the best Uganda\u2019s choral talent and providing a platform for us to shine.
